Adapter contract
The seven members an adapter must implement to translate one harness's native transport into CEP's fourteen events.
Seven members, grouped as six operations: connect, disconnect, send, receive, health check, and the identity pair that names the adapter. Ten of the fourteen events run from harness to shell and four run the other way.
If you are wiring a runtime to an editor today, use ACP, which is the live standard here. CEP is frozen and published as a record of where a second, independent attempt at the same problem landed.
